BMW introduces the M4 MotoGP Safety to coach with water injection. The achievement-rising technology should be soon used also in a standard engine.
For the MotoGP season BMW already puts the Safety to coach to the 17th time. In the highest class of the motorcycle racing sport is used in 2015 of the M4. Water injection to the cooling of the loading air
However, a new technology which uses BMW with the M4 MotoGP Safety coach to the increase in output is especially interesting: The twice charged Reihensechszylinder disposes here of a water injection. The system provides, beside the loading air cooler also obstructed in the series, for an additional lowering of the loading air temperature. Purpose of the thing: more achievement and less load for engine and Nebenaggregate (Turbos, catalysts). The chill effect of the water injection counteracts against the temperature rise of the loading air and in the furnace chambers. Another side effect: By the sinking temperature rises the density of the loading air what raises her oxygen salary and affects again achievement-rising.

The functionality of the water injection in the M4 MotoGP Saftey coach is simple: Three injection nozzles are in the aerial collector of the engine and spray water to a fine fog. Warmth is taken away to the surrounded air by the vaporisation of the water molecules – the already mentioned cooling of the loading air. The water is tapped not possibly from the piece of bumf water container, but comes from five litres of touching container in the Kofferrraum is supplied which the system with the necessary liquid. Besides, petrol with less octane can be used for the company of the engine. Advantageously in the countries which do not offer all over the country spirit with 98 octanes. Then 95 octanes (E10) also do it, without the engine starts "to knock". BMW also promotes these effects. The consumption advantage of the M4 engine with water injection should lie under full load at about eight percent. The similar is valid for the increase in output. BMW does not make specifics, but we count on a plus of about 40 HP, makes about 470 HP for the M4 MotoGP Safety coach.
